Grant Guidelines and Application
Purpose: To
support the projects of non-profits, organizations, or communities that
demonstrate the potential to enhance the overall local quality of life.
Submission
Deadline September 30th: Applications for the
Montrose Lions Club Community Grant may be submitted between September 1st
and September 30th. Funding
decisions will be announced by December 15th. Grant recipients will be notified
so they can be present at a Lions Club meeting to accept the donation.
Does My Organization
Qualify? The Montrose Lions Club
Community Grant committee will consider requests from any approved non-profit
organization for a program or project that benefits the residents of
Susquehanna County. It will also
consider requests from certain local government agencies, municipalities, and
public school systems within Susquehanna County, provided the proposed project
fits the criteria of benefiting the community at large. Determination of the grant recipients is made
by the Montrose Lions Club Community Grant committee in consultation with The
Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains.
The Community Grant committee may make an award in part or in full
and/or share the available grant funding with multiple applicants. The committee may not grant any award if it
is determined that no funding applications are convincingly aligned with the
granting priorities.
Funding Requests are
NOT Considered For:
Operating or Program deficits.
Funding to pay mortgages.
Funding to reimburse an organization for costs that were
incurred prior to the date the grant is to be awarded.
Grants to individuals
The Montrose Lions Club Community Fund was
established by the Montrose
Lions Club to provide support to charitable organizations throughout
Susquehanna County that demonstrate the potential to benefit the greater
community at large.
For 2026, a total
of $6,150 is available for accepted projects
